Why Chiropractic Should be Considered for Knee Pain
Knee pain is a very common complaint heard at my Palm Beach Gardens Chiropractic Office in Florida. Bones in the extremities can lose their normal positions from a variety of issues. Anything from a small quick movement improperly done to a nasty car accident. I have seen it all over the last twenty-three years in practice.
Fixing Knee Injuries through Chiropractic Care
Fixing these problems is usually very easy. There are basically two parts to fixing a knee issue. Number one is removing the inflammation from all the knee joints. Then the Chiropractor must find which direction each surrounding articulating knee bone is misaligned in. To do this is fairly simple....let's use the following example to illustrate the process we use.
Example: If an injured knee cap is carefully guided in a northerly direction and pain is elicited, the body is looking for a southerly correction. The same principle for the east and west injuries and the oblique direction injuries as well. Whichever position hurts, the body "generally" needs to be corrected in the opposite direction.
Once the misaligned (subluxated) bones are corrected, this Chiropractor believes that the job is only one third complete. I also like to use several therapies to reduce the muscular tension and the inflammation found at the surrounding joints of the patient's knee.
Common Reasons for Knee Injuries
- Excess Weight
- Misalignment of the Spine
- Trauma or other Injuries
- Sports Related Injuries
- Weakness of supporting structures
I have witnessed many patients over the last 23 years in practice come into my Palm Beach Gardens Chiropractic Office for severe knee pain. They come in sometimes close to tears and many of those same folks walk out telling jokes. Chiropractic is an extremely rewarding profession that I have never taken for granted. It is until this day....my biggest blessing from God! If you are local to Palm Beach Gardens and have experienced knee pain recently or after an injury, reach out and I would love to find out if Chiropractic is right for you.
